Friday's Top Five: Things I am Doing this Weekend

Monday is a bank holiday here in the UK and I am taking advantage of the 3 day weekend in the following way:
  1. Going to Vienna
  2. Concert in the Mozart House
  3. Going to Budapest for the day
  4. Soaking up the local culture.
  5. Taking photos to share with all of you

Bon Weekend all!

Sounds like an eventful day. On my bank holidays I just get excited about getting to watch The Price is Right.

And another Bank Holiday to look forward to at the end of the month :)

Looks like you're determined to make us jealous with all these exotic trips, while we're stuck with the typical bank holiday weather!

Don't forget egészségedre when drinking in Budapest!

Alannah - I hate to break it to you, but we get 3 days at the end of May too.

Dr. Ken - I heart the Price is Right. I heard that Bob was retiring? Say it isn't so? Who will make sure all those pets are spayed and neutered now?

Loaf - I COMPLETELY forgot the word for toast, as well as the word for thanks. Even looking at it now, I don't think I'll remember it!

how was vienna? i've never been but really want to go. jeremy's family moved from there before the war and the cake recipes that came with them tell me that are happy pastries to be had in vienna

Vienna photos in the Flickr. Enjoy! It was great. I really enjoy travelling around Austria and northern Switzerland (where they speak German). As an English speaker, it's so easy to negotiate and totally safe/honest, and a really easy holiday. I highly recommend.
